Our Client
Zachary Vesoulis, MDDr. Vesoulis is interested in understanding the interaction between the brain and the cardiovascular system, in both preterm and term infants, and how disruption of this connection contributes to the most common forms of neonatal brain injury including intraventricular hemorrhage, white matter injury, hypoxic-ischemic injury, and seizures. In his research lab at the Washington University Medical Center, he utilizes high-resolution multi-modality physiology measurements (ECG, arterial blood pressure, NIRS, pulse oximetry, EEG/aEEG) in conjunction with signal processing algorithms to build a model of this interaction and better understand the mechanisms of control.
